Motorcyclist dies at Winton raceway

| A 49-year-old motorcyclist has died after colliding with a barrier during a race at the Winton Motor Raceway.
The St Kilda man was riding as part of an official race meet just before 4pm today when it is believed he lost traction and came off his bike. The rider and the bike have collided with a tyre barrier and the man has died instantly. Track conditions were wet and there was light rain at the time.
